Maritime Transport

Public transport:

Transport and travelling are Lorient Agglomeration’s responsibility. The CTRL transport company has been managing the bus network and also the maritime crossings since 2008.

CTRL bought all the boats operating in the natural harbour in the framework of a public service delegation.

Currently, 6 lines link the towns of Port-Louis, Locmiquélic, Gâvres, Lorient and in the summer season Larmor-Plage.

Lorient Agglomeration has put into service a “zero emissions” boat, the Ar vag Tredan, and this is a world first in the passenger transport field. This ship transports 150 passengers and 10 bicycles on the line between Lorient and Locmiquélic.
